Real Techniques Brushes

by - August 01, 2016

Hello beauties and Happy August! Today I decided to write about one of my personally favorite topics to read and that's makeup tools! I'm presenting you Real Techniques brushes. I'm sure a lot of you heard about these. I'm going to walk you through pros, cons, prices and explain why I love them so much. To quickly disclaim, this is not sponsored post. These are the brushes I use the most so I'm here to share my experience and write useful information for each one of them. Hopefully this will help you decide weather or not you want to buy them.

Before I start my review I need to mention that I'm one of those people who rarely applies makeup with a makeup brush. I like to use beauty blender from Sephora or I simply use my fingers. I know that's not the best way to do your makeup but if it's hard for you to keep up with cleaning your brushes regularly, then it's better to use something else. However, as I previously wrote I like to read blog posts about different ways of applying makeup and about different makeup tools so I came across these beautiful brushes and reviews I read were just incredible. People were so impressed and gave out such a positive feedback on these brushes so I decided to get them myself and see if I like them.

This collection is called: The Bold Metals. They look so professional and they have very soft bristles with striking metallic detail. There are three colors: Gold, Platinum and  Rose Gold. All of them are high quality and perfect for daily use. My first impression was: soft, gentle and good looking.

Bold Metals 301 Flat Contour Brush ($25.99) - ideal brush for contouring, creates perfect shadows and highlights on target areas.
Bold Metals 300 Tapered Blush Brush ($23.99) - using this brush easily apply color to your cheeks, blend and you'll be left with gorgeous natural blush.
Bold Metals 200 Oval Shadow Brush ($15.99) - round shape for all-over eyelid application. You can use it for brow bone highlight as well.
Bold Metals 201 Pointed Crease Brush ($15.99) - firm tip is ideal for blending color along the lash line.
Bold Metals 202 Angled Liner Brush ($15.99) - has slanted bristles that hug the lash line for smooth, even application of eyeliner.
Bold Metals 100 Arched Powder Brush ($25.99) - perfect application for loose or pressed powders.
Bold Metals 101 Triangle Foundation Brush ($23.99) - probably my favorite and most used one. Ideal for covering large face areas and for full coverage.

I don't believe you need all of them but for someone who takes makeup more serious or is an makeup artist would love to have these in their collection. I'm not a makeup expert but these come in handy when I want to look a bit more glamed up. I'm not using them every single day but when I decide to do my makeup nicely and put some more effort, I always use them.

    1. Thank you :) They are on more expensive side but what you get in return is worth the money. If you aren't really doing your makeup professionally I don't think you need these for now :) Maybe you can save up for one in future but that depends if you take makeup serious or just doing it for fun.

    1. Trust me, I'm new to brushes world as well, but I did some research and these seemed as most loved once out there and I had to buy them. I use beauty blender as I said but ever since I got these, I forgot about it! Yes, they look so beautiful I mean even just for decoration (lol) but the best thing is their quality so I think overall you can't go wrong with getting these :) <3

  26. These look so beautiful, I've been eyeing them up since they came out. It's a shame they're at a much higher price point than their other brushes but I guess they're worth that difference in cost!

  37. I prefer applying my base with beauty blender, I like the finish it gives. I love RT brushes, the quality is really good, but I don't have any brushes from this range. These brushes look so fancy, however I don't like how big they are! x

    1. I also wrote that I usually use beauty blender but ever since I got them I left it for a while. However, I do agree that they are a bit on bigger side but there are many different sizes so you might find one that you like. Their great quality earned my respect but overall I think they are great :)
