How to find and build your own style

by - September 08, 2016

Today's post is going to be a little different. It's more of a serious topic but not really. If you are struggling with what to wear or if you just don't know your style yet but you want to build one, then this post will help you in achieving just that. Now little back story about my personal style. Back when I was 15, I wasn't known to be fashionable one or to have any special way of dressing that I followed. I'd always see what others are wearing and my closet was full of the things my parents thought looked good on me. Which I have to admit, they both have amazing style and since I was little I had branded gorgeous clothing pieces which I'm very thankful for. However, as I grew I developed my own sense for fashion and slowly I started building my own style and choosing what to wear by myself.

Everyone has different opinion right? It's same in fashion. It's nice to follow trends but not to copy others. Staying true to your style is most important thing. As you grow, you begin to like other stuff and that's how you change your direction slowly. Being unique and original is the key. You can find inspiration everywhere today. On TV, social media, magazines, blogs, YouTube videos and more. However, inspiration and copying are two different things. When you really like something and you want to buy it, go ahead. How you style it should be something only you can pull off. Try to be known for something. That doesn't mean wearing same clothes, or same kind of boots or maybe glasses everyday. It's actually the way you give every outfit that something. ''That something'' is hard to achieve and it takes a long time.

Another very important things is the way you wear stuff. You need to be confident and feel great about yourself because your outfit becomes 50x times better. Try to be a bit more sassy rather than being shy. Shyness can sometimes make an amazing outfit very unnoticeable and unimportant - which you don't want to happen. If you are more relaxed women/girl then try to rock those jeggings and big jumper by adding cool headphones and maybe some crazy sneakers. Or if you like to wear dresses, don't be boring type. Add vest or cool leather jacket over your dress, and wear big bag while having your hear in messy bun. There are so many different styles in world today but remember Your personality is key in everything. Same in life, same in fashion. Hope you enjoyed.
