How to fight Makeup Addiction

by - July 27, 2017

I've been trying to post as much as I can, while I can. I hope summer will last a bit longer this year because I really got back into my blogging game. Anyhow, today I wanted to write about Makeup Addiction which may sound as silly topic at first because most of us beauty bloggers are under control when it comes to makeup, however it's actually not that funny when you think about it. I've done some decluttering recently and you don't even wanna know how much junk, trash and stuff I never needed, I finally got rid of. Let me know in comments if this post was helpful, it's really easy and anyone can do it so let's get started.

Here are 3 easy steps on How to fight Makeup Addiction:

  • Get rid off makeup you don't use today. Now is the right time. You know exactly what you haven't used in past 2 years but it's still there because it's maybe in pretty packaging or you just feel sad and don't want to throw it away. Just think about it this way: You will never use it, by throwing it (or giving it to charity if it's still in good condition) you will enable place for your brand new future makeup.

  • You are in store and you find so many amazing things but you know you can't buy everything (not good for you, not good for your wallet). If you have similar shade of lipstick or same but different brand, don't even think about purchasing it. Before you go makeup shopping, explore on internet what is new, what is good, do you really need it. Check Blogs and YouTube reviews on those products once you selected them. After watching reviews, take a note and write items down on the list with prices. See if it fits your budget and then go and buy it.

  • Good makeup organization can also help your addiction. Once you have everything in place, you are actually aware of how many things you got. Then you can decide which of them you don't need and which of them are important to you and you wanna keep.

  13. Those are great tips, dear. My makeup addiction is kinda come and go. One month I can't stop buying lipstick (with similar shades) the next month, I stop buying make up at all and can't stop buying new shoes :'D

  14. I used to be so obsessed with make up, recently I decided to only buy what I could see myself using pretty much every day and I've saved SO MUCH money since then! Who needs that many shades of red anyway! haha x

  16. These are all great tips! I've been more mindful of the makeup that I've been buying lately, and I found that I end up getting a lot more use out of my products that way.
