Beauty Sleep Secret to glowing skin

by - July 28, 2016

Beauty and sleep have always had strong connection. There wouldn't be our favorite fairy tale ''Sleeping Beauty'' if this wasn't true, right? I've always believed that a good, night sleep treatment is more effective and important then morning skincare routine. Night time is the best time to help your skin become more smoother and healthier because when you sleep your skin is fully relaxed and it's able to soak in treatment better then it would on a daily use. Today I'm sharing with you some of my tips on how to achieve perfect beauty sleep and a better healthier looking skin.

1.You may have heard this a bunch of times but sleeping 8-9 hours is a must for body recovery and gaining most energy for the following day. This applies to your skin as well. If you want your skin to look it's best, give it a time to rest.

2. Take a warm bath before sleep. Try to make taking baths something fun, something you'll truly enjoy and something that will be your little escape from busy, stressful day. Stress can cause not just acne but wrinkles, under eye circles and more of the things we do not need in our life.

3. Have a regular bed time schedule. Weather that's 9pm or 11pm or whenever, just try to go to sleep each day at the same time and it will help you fall a sleep much easier and your brain will naturally get used to this schedule and there will be less '' I still can't sleep and I need to wake up so early'' nights.

4. Nix caffeine after 7pm. Maybe even earlier but 7pm is the limit. Sorry to coffee lovers but it's better to wait for Good Morning coffee which will give you some energy for busy day and not energy when it's time to sleep and relax.

5. Turn off the TV and mobile at least 1 hour before sleep. Bright phone's screen in dark room can not just damage your sight but it will also mess up your sleep.

6. Drink hot tea or a less healthier option hot milk for dinner and just before sleep drink some fresh water. You can also take a water bottle and put it on your bedside table so if you get thirsty over night you don't have to stand up and go to the kitchen.

7. Lay in clean bed sheets or at least in previously made bed. It will make you feel more cozy and comfy and you will feel more tired and fall asleep faster.

    1. Thank you, I'm glad you find these helpful. I have to be honest and that phone step was the hardest for me too. But try with baby steps 20 minutes before bed or 30mins? We are so addicted to our phones and that became big problem. And yes, bath is like the best one, always makes me feel like a baby x Seriously :P
